The Wisconsin Squad is a proud part of the Midwest Garrison of the 501st Legion, consisting of members within the state of Wisconsin. We aim to spread the excitement and joy of Star Wars to fans of all ages through our costuming events in the state, and by doing so, we hope to further the goals of both the Midwest Garrision and 501st Legion.

The members of the Wisconsin Squad stand ready to serve! We costume a wide variety of events including but not limited to: store promotional events, birthday parties, charity walks, school events, weddings, sci-fi and gaming conventions, and community parades. Many of these appearances are for charities, and we are proud to help out in any way we can.

The 501st Legion

The 501st Legion is the world's definitive Imperial costuming organization. The mission of the 501st is threefold -- to promote Star Wars, to celebrate its legacy, and to contribute to charitable organizations worldwide. While the 501st Legion is not affiliated with Lucasfilm Ltd., it is the preferred costuming organization of Lucasfilm Ltd.. In fact, we members of the 501st eagerly help out Lucasfilm Ltd. in whatever way possible to promote Star Wars.

As mentioned, part of the mission of the 501st Legion is to help charities. We consist entirely volunteers; we do not do this for any sort of monetary gain. Rather, we members of the 501st dedicate our time, money and effort to combine our loves of Star Wars and costuming in order to help out those less fortunate than ourselves. The Make-A-Wish Foundation and Starlight Starbright Children's Foundations are two of our favorite charities, but there are many more charities who we are proud to help in whatever way we can.

The Midwest Garrison

To better coordinate events, the 501st Legion has sub-units, such as Garrisons, Squads, and Outposts, all of which oversee official 501st Legion events within a specified geographic region. As such, the Midwest Garrison consists of members from llinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin. With over 170 active members, the Midwest Garrison is one of the largest garrisons in the entire 501st Legion.

As members of both the 501st Legion and the Midwest Garrison, we of the Wisconsin Squad strive to uphold and represent the ideals of both these groups within the state of Wisconsin. We take our role as a public face of the 501st Legion and the Midwest Garrison seriously, but we also have fun doing it.
